Canon PIXMA iP90v Driver Download: Canon Pixma iP90v is the 2007 refresh Pixma iP90. In addition to support for Windows Vista and an odd reduction in photo print speeds, the iP90v is essentially the same product. Even the $ 250 cost the same as the older model. If the reader already has a Canon Pixma iP90v, do not worry about upgrading. If the reader does not have a portable printer, consider whether Readers need one, because this one is not cheap, especially with add-ons. If the reader simply must have a small inkjet, readers will be pleased with the Pixma iP90v print speed and quality. (Competition nearest Canon has in this niche is the HP Deskjet 460 series. Compact printer is small enough to slip into a laptop bag, to print from virtually anywhere. For one-function printer, $ 250 is a lot of money, especially when the reader will require an additional outlay of cash for optional battery kit that allows for true "anywhere" printing. Battery Kit will make the reader back anywhere from $ 90 to $ 140. That said, the printer is equipped with a USB port to print photos from a PictBridge camera and IrDA port for wireless printing. If readers want to print from a Bluetooth-enabled device such as a laptop or PDA, Canon offers an optional Bluetooth adapter reader that can attach to the PictBridge port.
Canon Pixma iP90v uses the same ink cartridges with the older model. (See review for comments on printing costs.) Like its predecessor, the Canon Pixma iP90v offers two alternatives for normal printing. If the reader is worried about running out of black ink, readers can switch to Save Black Ink mode (similar to the concept); The resulting text is a dark gray, as opposed to black. If the reader had run out of black ink and has no replacement cartridge at the ready, readers can use Composite Black mode, which mixes the colors in the color tank. The resulting text is a light purplish-gray - a useful option is not appropriate for formal documents, but in an emergency.
Canon Pixma iP90v offers speeds no different, except when it comes to photo printing. It produces black text at a rate of 6.23 pages per minute - the same as the iP90. When printing color graphics, iP90v scored 1.42ppm. We can not make a direct comparison between the two models for photo print speeds, as our methodology changed between the testing period. But Canon Pixma iP90 scored 1.05ppm for 8x10 photo print while Canon Pixma iP90v scored 0.68ppm only to print a 4x6 photo - clearly, the new iP90v is much slower.
